Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) konsisten bertahan di zona positif sepanjang perdagangan hari ini, Rabu (04/11/2009). Penguatan IHSG ini terjadi beriringan dengan penguatan bursa-bursa regional secara mayoritas, yaitu:
. Indeks Hang Seng menguat 374,71 poin (1,76%) ke level 21.614,77.
. Indeks Komposit Shanghai naik 14,31 poin (0,46%) ke level 3.128,54.
. Indeks KOSPI naik 30,01 poin (1,94%) ke level 1.579,93.
. Indeks Nikkei-225 naik 41,36 poin (0,42%) ke level 9.844,31.

Pada perdagangan hari ini, IHSG ditutup menguat 37,750 poin (1,62%) ke level 2.371,856. Indeks LQ 45 juga naik 7,982 poin (1,75%) ke level 465,142. Saham-saham pertambangan dan semen memberikan kontribusi besar bagi kenaikan IHSG hari ini. Para pelaku pasar masih sangat konservatif dalam melakukan transaksi terlihat dari volume perdagangan yang tidak terlalu ramai yaitu 4.304 juta lembar saham senilai Rp 3,13 triliun.

Saham Top Gainer: Indo Tambangraya (ITMG) naik Rp 1.400 menjadi Rp 13.600, Telkom (TLKM) naik Rp 250 menjadi Rp 8.600, Semen Gresik (SMGR) naik Rp 250 menjadi Rp 7.150, Aneka Tambang (ANTM) naik Rp 175 menjadi Rp 2.350, Bumi Resources (BUMI) naik Rp 175 menjadi Rp 2.475, Indocement (INTP) naik Rp 250 menjadi Rp 11.350.

Saham Top Loser: BRI (BBRI) turun Rp 50 menjadi Rp 6.950, Astra International (ASII) turun Rp 50 menjadi Rp 30.200, United Tractor (UNTR) turun Rp 100 menjadi Rp 14.500, Unilever (UNVR) turun Rp 100 menjadi Rp 10.200, Gudang Garam (GGRM) turun Rp 350 menjadi Rp 15.200.
