Pada perdagangan hari ini, Rabu (5/5/2010), Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) kembali lagi ditutup melemah hingga 112,776 poin (3,81%) ke level 2.846,239. Kejatuhan IHSG hari ini tercatat sebagai penurunan indeks yang terburuk di Asia Pasifik.

Sementara itu indeks LQ 45 juga tercatat melemah 23,920 poin (4,18%) ke level 548,295. Penurunan kinerja Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) hari ini adalah sebagai akibat sentimen negatif pelemahan bursa-bursa regional dan juga munculnya berita pengunduran diri Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani yang dikabarkan menjadi calon kuat Managing Director Bank Dunia.

Bursa-bursa regional secara mayoritas juga ditutup melemah sebagai berikut:
• Indeks Hang Seng melemah 435,51 poin (2,10%) ke level 20.327,54.
• Indeks Straits Times melemah 42,02 poin (1,45%) ke level 2.859,16.
• Indeks S&P/ASX melemah 1,33% ke level 4.674.

Saham Top Gainer: Bhakti Investama (BHIT) naik Rp 50 menjadi Rp 315, Unilever Indonesia (UNVR) naik Rp 400 menjadi Rp 16.200, Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha (WOMF) naik Rp 40 menjadi Rp 365.

Saham Top Loser: Astra International (ASII) turun Rp 2.100 menjadi Rp 43.450, United Tractors (UNTR) turun Rp 1.200 menjadi Rp 18.000, Bank Mandiri (BMRI) turun Rp 400 menjadi Rp 5.300, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) turun Rp 500 menjadi Rp 8.550, Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) turun Rp 200 menjadi Rp 7.650.
