Pada perdagangan hari ini, Selasa (5/1/2010), Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) sukses bertahan di atas level 2.600 yaitu ditutup menguat 29,864 poin (1,15%) ke level 2.605,277. Indeks LQ 45 juga tercatat menguat 6,355 poin (1,25%) ke level 514,269.

Meningkatnya minat dan daya beli para investor terhadap saham-saham berkapital besar di sektor pertambangan dan perkebunan memberikan kontribusi cukup signifikan bagi kenaikan IHSG hari ini.

Sementara bursa-bursa regional kecuali bursa Eropa juga bergerak di zona positif yaitu:
• Indeks Hang Seng naik 456,3 poin (2,09%) ke level 22.279,58.
• Indeks Nikkei-225 naik 27,04 poin (0,25%) ke level 10.681,83.
• Indeks Straits Times naik 22,45 poin (0,78%) ke level 2.917,00.
• Indeks FTSE turun 16,13 poin (0,26%) ke level 5.484,21.

Saham Top Gainer: Delta Djakarta (DLTA) naik Rp 2.000 ke Rp 64.000, Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG) naik Rp 1.250 ke Rp 33.300, United Tractors (UNTR) naik Rp 400 ke Rp 16.100, Unilever (UNVR) naik Rp 350 ke Rp 11.400, Bumi Resources (BUMI) naik Rp 250 ke Rp 2.675, Indocement Tunggal Prakasa (INTP) naik Rp 200 ke Rp 14.050, Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) naik Rp 350 ke Rp 24.200, Pacific Utama (LPPF) naik Rp 190 ke Rp 1.000.

Saham Top Loser: Gudang Garam (GGRM) turun Rp 50 ke Rp 21.750, Astra Otoparts (AUTO) turun Rp 50 ke Rp 5.700, Dian Swastatika Sentosa (DSSA) turun Rp 50 ke Rp 5.550, Bank Mandiri (BMRI) turun Rp 50 ke Rp 4.875, International Nickel Ind. (INCO) turun Rp 50 ke Rp 3.825.
