Pada perdagangan hari ini, Selasa (08/12/2009), Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) akhirnya berhasil ditutup menguat 0,134 poin (0,00%) ke level 2.483,892 walaupun sepanjang perdagangan sempat terpuruk 13 poin ke titik terendah 2.470,237 . Indeks LQ 45 juga tercatat menguat tipis 0,112 poin (0,02%) ke level 491,918.

Sementara bursa-bursa regional sebagian besar ditutup melemah pada perdagangan hari ini, yaitu:
. Indeks Nikkei-225 melemah 27,13 poin (0,27%) ke level 10.140,47.
. Indeks Hang Seng melemah 264,44 poin (1,18%) ke level 22.060,52.
. Indeks Straits Times naik tipis 5,03 poin (0,18%) ke level 2.802,01.
. Indeks Komposit Shanghai turun 35,23 poin (1,06%) ke level 3.296,66.
. Indeks KOSPI turun tipis 4,87 poin (0,30%) ke level 1.627,78.

Saham Top Gainer: Bristol-Myers Squibb Indonesia (SQBI) naik Rp 2.800 hingga menyentuh batas atas autorejection di level Rp 136.800, Delta Djakarta (DLTA) naik Rp 4.500 ke Rp 83.000, Indocement Tunggal Prakasa (INTP) naik Rp 500 ke Rp 12.500, Astra International (ASII) naik Rp 450 ke Rp 33.850, Telkom (TLKM) naik Rp 100 ke Rp 9.400.

Saham Top Loser: Multi Bintang Indonesia (MLBI) turun Rp 1.000 ke Rp 178.000, Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITMG) turun Rp 1.100 ke Rp 28.900, Gudang Garam (GGRM) turun Rp 150 ke Rp 18.100, Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA) turun Rp 100 ke Rp 17.500, Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) turun Rp 150 ke Rp 23.850, Bumi Resources (BUMI) turun Rp 25 ke Rp 2.475.
